Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. is the first and only casual restaurant chain based on a motion picture. Originated in California, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. opened its first restaurant on Cannery Row in Monterey, CA in 1996. Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. has 44 restaurants primarily in tourist-oriented, highly desirable locations including iconic destinations such as Universal CityWalk – Hollywood CA, Santa Monica Pier in California and Times Square in New York City. International locations include Bali, Cancun, Tokyo and of course The Peak Tower, Hong Kong with spectacular panoramic views.

At the core, we are a small chain of seafood restaurants committed to providing a casual environment where everyone can enjoy a great meal and have some fun too. Food is the hero at the Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., we serve food that makes our employees proud and will make you want to return. Our menu features shrimp, of course. The restaurant design combines all-American optimism with down-home decor. The restaurants feature a mix of authentic Americana with Forrest Gump movie memorabilia and identical reproductions of script pages, storyboards, costumes, shoes, still photos and scrawled “Gumpisms” on every varnished tabletop. Outside, guests try on plaster casts of Forrest’s running shoes while sitting on the famed bus bench.
